Other Pi Lambda Theta News

1. Fort Wayne hosted the PLT Region II Business meeting, which included installation of 2008-09 Officers: Thelma Brown, President; Dr. Sheldon Wrice (OH), 1st Vice President, Barb Skinner (OH), 2nd Vice President; Doris Hedler (OH), 3rd Vice-President; Diana Jackson (IN), Student Vice-President; Dr. Miles S. Edwards (IN), Treasurer; Evelyn Kozar (MI), Recording Secretary.

2.   It is time once again to turn our thoughts from the lazy days of summer to fall and renewed activities.  Yes, our program committee has put together programs which will renew and energize us.  The theme that we will follow this year is, "Sharing, caring and educating; our community in focus."  This is so appropriate as it fits in so aptly with the national interest of "thinking green".

3.  Preserving our History – Did you know that our chapter has historical records dating back to our inception in 1948? Historian, Joan Lewis worked with the Allen County Public Library to preserve our history on microfilm and now there is a permanent copy in the library for future generations to view.
